Pomelo Salad

My mother in-law loves to buy thing in bulk and we were struggling to finish the Pomelo she bought. So, I decided to make Pomelo salad. Luckily, everyone in my family loves this salad and we enjoyed the pomelo.

1 pomelo, peeled, skinned and pulp removed
25g roasted peanuts, roughly pound
15g fried dried shrimp
1 dried cuttlefish, cut into strip and fried
1 bunch coriander leaf (chopped)
2 chilli padi (Bird’s Eye Chillies), cut into half

Lime juice from 1 lime
2 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp palm sugar or brown sugar


1.  In a mixing bowl, combine all the dressing ingredients and mix well.

2.  Then, add in the pomelo, coriander leaf, chilli and toss well. Transfer to a plate and top with dried shrimp, fried cuttlefish and roasted peanut.

3.  Serve immediately.
