Homemade Salsa Recipe

This Spanish sauce "Salsa" is so easy to prepare, healthy and delicious.  It goes will with the Sesame Sourdough Crackers, Herbed Sourdough Crackers I made.

Homemade Salsa Recipe


(A) To blend:
1 fresh tomato (medium size)
1/2 red cupsicum
1 fresh jalapeno, deseeded
1 clove garlic
2 spring cilantro

(B) To chop:
1 fresh tomato (medium size)
1/2 red cupsicum
1/2 yellow onion (medium size)
2 spring cilantro

Juice of 1 lime
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 tbsp honey or to taste
1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Basil and oregano dried herbs


  1. Blend all ingredients A in food processor.  Drain the excess water.
  2. Chop all ingredients B individually.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the blended ingredients A and chopped ingredients B.  
  4. Add in seasoning ingredients and adjust to accordingly.
